My Personal Experience using the Vacation Certificate

I'm sure that you have some questions about how these vacation certificates work. I'm also sure that you think that there has to be a gimmick or a scam about these vacation certificates. Well, I personally have used one of the vacation certificates and went to Gatlinburg, TN. Let me tell you about my experience then I will answer some Frequently Asked Questions.

I used my vacation certificate and went to Gatlinburg, TN in March of 2005. I sent my vacation certificate off with my $10.00 check (the fee has now gone up to $12.00 but still well worth it) and few weeks later I received a letter for me to fill out with my travel dates. For the FREE room I had to choose off season and week days (Monday through Thursday) or I could turn the voucher in for a discounted room for weekends in addition to no blackout dates. I was instructed to send that form back with a money order for $23.95 to a Travel Agency to complete the reservations. A few weeks later I got a Pre-Conformation letter letting me know of my vacation dates and the Hotel I would be staying at. In addition the letter stated to call and confirm my travel dates 30 days prior to my stay. (I planned my vacation a year in advance due to the blackout dates. I wanted to see what the FREE vacation certificate provided)

One month before my vacation I phoned in my confirmation and was asked if I needed additional days at a discounted rate. I declined. (again I'm testing out the FREE Vacation certificate so I could pass on my experience to my customers) I stayed at the Microtel Hotel in Pigeon Forge. I had a very nice room. The service was wonderful and I couldn't say enough nice things about my stay. I do plan on using more vacation certificates in the future to go to other locations. The service was that good. So as a recap I spent a total of $33.95 for a 3 day 2 night mini Vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. While I was up there the rooms on various Motel/Hotel's stated rooms started at $38.00 per night. So I was able to stay for 2 nights for less then the price of one. In addition I did not have to do any timeshare presentations.

Q. Can I use more than one 3 day 2 night vacation certificate?
A. Yes, you may visit several different cities within a 12 month period, but you cannot visit the same city twice, for free rooms. This is where the room broker earns money. You will have the opportunity to revisit all cities at a rate less than what the hotels charge, by booking through the room brokers in the future.

Q. Can I use 2 vacation certificates back to back for 4 free nights?
A. No. Anyone caught using two vacation certificates back to back or in the same city within a 12 month period will have their reservations cancelled.

Q. After I pay the registration fee what other costs will I be required to pay?
A. Just a fee to cover the cost of room taxes which doesn't exceed $12.00 per night. When following the terms and conditions, which require you to register your reservation form, book your rooms in advance and not travel the week of a holiday or on weekends.

Q. Are weekends & holiday weeks ever available?
A. Yes, by paying a discounted room rate from as low as $35.00 per night midweek and from as low as $60.00 per night on weekends. This depends on the city and the holiday week you wish to travel. All customers traveling on this option will also receive extra benefits.

Q. What type of accommodations will I receive on this offer?
A. You are guaranteed to be satisfied with your accommodations or your registration fee will be refunded. In Las Vegas, the most popular destination, for the past several years, all customers have been provided a 400 square foot mini suite at a hotel casino within walking distance to the Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Bally's and Flamingo Hilton, known as the four corners of the Las Vegas Strip.

Q. Do I get to pick the hotel?
A. No. You get to pick the travel dates and the destination city. You are guaranteed that your accommodations will be first class. There has never been a complaint about the hotels. If the registration fee, which is refundable if you don't like your accommodations, is too much of a gamble - then you have the choice of booking the rooms for your vacation and paying hotel rates without this service.

Q. What happens after I send the registration fee?
A. You will receive back a reservation form for the city of your choice. For instance, if you select Las Vegas, you will receive a reservation form for Las Vegas. You simply fill out the reservation form with your desired dates and mail it with a money order for the tax of the room back to the room broker reservation office. If you follow the simple terms and conditions and select dates at least 60 days in advance and not the week of a holiday, your reservations should be confirmed.

A. For Free rooms you must choose a date at least 60 days in advance. All reservation forms give you an option where you can book rooms less then 60 days at a discount of normal room rates, but for the FREE offer your dates must be at least 60 days in advance.
