Why should you join a direct sales business? You should join a business because you like the products, believe in the products and are excited about selling the products to friends, family and strangers. If you do not feel comfortable using or selling these products to yourself or friends and family then that is not the business for you. To succeed well in any business you need to be excited about the products, willing to use the products, and knowledgeable about the products. Why would someone buy a product from you if you do not know anything about it? Is the compensation plan of the direct sales business going to make you money after you purchase catalogs, forms, or other supplies needed to makes sales? Is the customer support available to you to get questions answered, orders processed, or more detailed information about the products if your customers have a question that you can not answer? If you answer yes then this could be a good company to get involved with. If you answer no then I would steer clear of this company because if you have a problem you need to be able to help your customers quickly so not to loose a sale. Is the start up fees affordable? If they are offering free start ups I would be leery of joining. They are just trying to increase their "Numbers" not have successful recruits. Any Free business is not a business that you can be excited about. All start up materials cost money. Be Prepared to pay for a start up fee. This shows the business that you believe in their product and that you will work this business. If you get a free start up are you going to be excited about this business? Are you going to work this business? Or are you going to get the free start up kit and put it aside and look at it later because you are too busy to get to it right away? How long has this business been around? Is it a brand new business? Is it a business that has been around for a while or is it just now starting out? If it is a brand new business start out by placing a few orders to see how the products are. This will also let you know if you get a timely delivery or if it is a fly by night company that is out to get a bunch of recruits and disappear. We have all seen companies come and go and take a bunch of people's "start up fee" and never deliver a product in return. If this is a business that has been around a while ask around to see if anyone has heard anything good or bad about this business. Is it debt free? Can you contact them easily? Do they have a Business License, Tax Number, or a Merchant Account to accept Credit Cards. If it has these things then it is more then likely on the up and up. Why would someone spend the money for these things if they are planning on scamming you. Please feel free to do your research before you join a business. Don't jump because the sign up is free. Don't walk into something blindly. Know the products, know the compensation plan, and speak to someone that knows the business or the owner of the business. If the Business can't provide you with references then you don't need to sign up. You need to know that the business will be there when you need them to. |
